Koala is developing an innovative, smart, and sustainable solution to elevate the standard for personalized suncare and skin cancer prevention for high-risk populations including youth, athletes, and outdoor adventurers.
OUR MISSION
PREVENTING
SKIN CANCER
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in youth and young adults.
With 90% of skin cancers associated with UV exposure, sunscreen is the gold standard for prevention.
However, only 10% of youth sunscreen, and only 33% of them reapply sunscreen. Is it a surprise that skin cancer is the leading cancer in persons age 25-29?

We at Koala have discovered that this problem is a consequence of many factors that are not addressed by today's approach to suncare and skin cancer prevention.
We are setting out on a bold and ambitious mission to transform the standard for personalized prevention and early detection of skin cancer, pre-mature skin aging, and other UV-associated skin diseases for all persons.
